Utah County's Halloween calendar runs all month, from haunted corn trails in Lehi and Spanish Fork to free city trunk-or-treats in Orem and Provo. Halloween itself falls on a Saturday this year. The biggest single event is Orem City's Truck-or-Treat at University Place on October 17, and the county's longest-running haunt, Frightbelly's at Cornbelly's in Lehi, runs through October 31.

October is one of our favorite months to live here. Here's where to go, sorted by how scary you want it to be.

Haunted Attractions (Best for Teens and Adults)

Frightbelly's at Cornbelly's, Lehi. This is the haunt formerly called Insanity Point, now renamed. It's one of Utah County's longest-running haunts, with 23 haunted scenes along a roughly 30-minute trail through the corn. Tickets are listed at $37.99 and include general Cornbelly's Lehi admission, hayrides, campfires and the separate non-haunted corn maze, so a mixed group can split up at the gate and meet back up afterward. Cornbelly's recommends it for ages 12 and up.

Haunted Forest, American Fork. The Haunted Forest is open October 1 through November 7 this year, with attractions including Alien Attack and Leech Lagoon.

Glen Ray's Fright Nights, Spanish Fork. Glen Ray's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch runs its pumpkin patch, corn maze and Fright Nights through October.

Family-Friendly Farms and Festivals

Thanksgiving Point Spooktober, Lehi. Thanksgiving Point runs Spooktober all month, with pumpkin-themed activities and STEM programs across its farm and museums.

Jaker's Jack-O-Lanterns at Harward Farms, Springville. This is one of the most affordable tickets in Utah County. It includes hay rides, a corn maze, a straw maze, a petting zoo, a giant corn pit, tube slides and a kid-friendly haunted cave.

Pumpkins in the Orchard, Orem. This free Halloween display runs October 5 through 31 at The Orchard at University Place, open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Halloween Cruise on the Provo River. CLAS Ropes in Provo runs a family-friendly, interactive pirate cruise on weekdays through October 31.

Trunk-or-Treats and City Events

Orem City Truck-or-Treat, Saturday, October 17. This one returns to University Place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids can explore a garbage truck, construction equipment and police and fire vehicles, with a DJ, face painting, a straw bale slide and photo ops. There's a quiet hour for kids with sensory needs from 10 to 11 a.m. Candy comes from the Orem City booth, not individual vehicles.

Orem Night of Fright and Market, Friday, October 23. University Place hosts this one from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Orchard, with a mechanical bull, a bounce house, balloons and yard games.

Provo Rec Halloween Festival, Saturday, October 24. The Provo Recreation Center at 320 W 500 N is going with a Villains and Heroes theme this year, split into two sessions. Registration is through Provo Rec's website, and it's the event in the county that most reliably sells out, so sign up early.

Spanish Fork Doggy Trunk-or-Treat, Saturday, October 24. All Paws Count is hosting a trunk-or-treat for dogs at 955 N Main St in Spanish Fork. It's a fundraiser with free goodies, prize drawings, dog vendors and a photo booth.

Sensory-Friendly Options

ABS Kids is hosting two free, sensory-friendly events this month.

The American Fork trunk-or-treat is October 6 at 1159 E 200 N, starting at 5 p.m., with giveaway stations designed for a more accessible Halloween.

The Provo Fall-O'-Ween Festival is October 22, starting at 6 p.m. The Orem Truck-or-Treat quiet hour on October 17 is another good option.

Halloween Night: What to Know

There are no official trick-or-treat hours in Utah County. Halloween is a Saturday this year, and sunset in the county is around 6:25 p.m., so most neighborhoods will be busiest from 5pm - 7pm.

Several cities have run daytime trick-or-treat events in recent years, including American Fork's Halloween on Main, Spanish Fork's Main Street trick-or-treat, and Provo's downtown event. Check each city's website for 2026 times.

Cornbelly's Lehi also lists a Halloween night parade with illuminated characters, giant skeletons, fire dancers and floats. Check their schedule for the date.

Run It in Costume

HAUNTED Provo is on Halloween morning, October 31, with a downhill half marathon through Provo Canyon, a 5K and a kids' run. A Friday night 5K kicks off the weekend on October 30.

Día de los Muertos at Thanksgiving Point

Día de los Muertos is its own celebration, not a Halloween event. It's a Latin American holiday honoring loved ones who have passed, and Thanksgiving Point hosts one of the largest celebrations in Utah County.

This year's event is Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Show Barn, 2476 Sycamore Lane in Lehi. Tickets are $16 for adults and $5 for kids ages 3 to 12, and children 2 and under get in free. Thanksgiving Point members save 10%.

Families can sign up to display their own ofrenda, add a note or memento to the community ofrenda, or submit a loved one's photo for the Digital Remembrance Ofrenda. The Show Barn fills with calacas and calaveras, mariachi music, singers, storytellers, and dancers representing traditions from across Latin America. Performances run all day, starting with Aztec dance at 10:30 a.m. and ending with ballet folklórico in the evening.

Kids can make tissue paper flowers, and anyone can dress up for the Best Catrina and Catrín contest at 3:30 p.m. Local artisans sell ceramics, jewelry, traditional Mayan clothing and Latin American art, and local food vendors are on site all day.

A Tip If You're House Hunting

If you're shopping for a home in Utah County, drive the neighborhoods you're considering on Halloween night. You'll see how many families live on the street, how people decorate, and whether neighbors are out talking to each other. It tells you more about a neighborhood than any listing photo can. You can explore each city in our Utah County neighborhood guides.
